Medha got up from her bed .. she wondered what she heard the last day was true or not . Eamindhi Ruchi ki ? How did she die ? As she was thinking her mobile rang .. she lifted the phone and it was from the office . “ Yes Suchi , cheppandi .. “
“ Hi Medha , I am sorry about Ruchi , I know how good friends you both are .. but this time I called you to tell you that Inspector Uday is waiting for you at the office , he spoke to everybody here except for you and Vamsi .Vamsi is not picking the phone but he is more keen to meet you he asked me to tell you that ifyou are not coming here .. he will come to your place and talk to you “ said Suchi .
“ No Suchi .. tell him I will be there in 30 minutes .. I wanna move out of this place now .. something is pricking me staying here now “ said Medha and hanged up the phone .She got ready and went to the office .All the way for the first time she felt sorry for Surya .She thought if I am feeling this way , how hard is it for Surya .. How he might be ? It will be a big shock for him .
With these thoughts she reached the office .Right at the entrance wasthe caffeteria where she saw Uday waiting for her . She told him she will keep her things at the desk and come back .As she moved to her desk , she saw a notice paper at her desk which usually is sent by the M.D if there is anything he wanted all the people in the office to follow or be aware of .She took it in her hands thinking it to be a farewell note on Ruchi and started reading it .It said – “ To all the working and non working people of HighRise Constructions , this is to bring to your notice that the company is very sad hearing about Ruchi , she was a very efficient and able person at work and is a loss for losing her at this crucial stage when we are growing big. “
Tears rolled down Medha’s cheeks as she read this and she continued to the next paragraph.”But then I would like to keep this only to this extent and after today or after once you read this notice , I don’t want to see anybody in my office discussing or mourning over her death and if anybody is seen .. that would be their last day at work at this office . Reading this, the anger in Medha had no bounds , Tears were rolling down her cheeks when she heard the office boy calling her –“ Medha Madam, Down Uday Sir is waiting for you at the cafeteria and M.D. sir also wanted you to come to his room immediately .”
Medha was all boiling at the addressing name in the Notice letter and decided that she would meet the M.D.for one last time. She told the office boy to inform Uday that she would meet him in just 10 minutes and walked to Surya’s room.
As she was entering the room , a paper rolled came and hit her face like a blow , she was shocked and hurt and she saw Surya rushing towards her .
“I am sorry, today’s a bad day .This newspaper is all nonsense ... just could not bear it on my desk “said surya coming close to her .
“It’s alright, it’s alright ... It’s nothing new for you “ said Medha as she moved back .
Surya stopped immediately hearing that and said – “What do you mean ? “
It was the first time Medha was face to face with Surya, she always heard him from outside , heard more about him from Ruchi .For Surya , it’s the first time seeing Medha after giving her the appointment letter . Though her seat was right in front of his room , he never even had a glance of hers’ , he only knew her name for his work was always more with Ruchi , and Maadhav to whom most of the other staff reported .
Medha though cursed Surya always in her mind , she was always scared to be in front of him , even in the group photo of the office , she made it a point to stand as the corner person in the last row while everybody else were just fighting to stand beside Surya .
But today nothing could stop Medha from what she wanted to say .She continued – “ I mean what I said sir ... stressing the word Sir as she spoke , well I don’t want to talk about anything else because I got to know how horrible and heartless person you are after reading the notice letter , a person who could say that way about the girl whom he ... anyways that ‘s your personal , all I want to say is I no longer want to work here .. no thanks to you ... you were a horrible person to work under “.
Surya all the while was listening to her , for the first time in his life he has seen a girl talk to him that way . For the first time in his life , somebody has pointed a finger on him directly . A girl whom he did not even know properly was saying him so much , he could not digest it and immediately shouted – “ Look Miss .. Miss ... whatever , I don’t want any stupid people like you in my office , you can leave right away . “
Even before he finished his sentence he heard the door bang behind him , Medha was out of the room . Medha packed her things and in a hurry kept the paper that hit her and which she was holding all while in the bag and walked out furiously
There surya was still thinking about what Medha said and he thought to himself - “ How could I let a girl who insulted me get away with what she wanted ? She can’t go so easily .” He called the office boy and told him to check if Medha left the office building . The office boy was shocked because never before Surya had asked about anybody that way , he told surya – “ Uday Sir wanted to talk to her so probably shez in the cafeteria , I will inform her to meet you sir ? “ . Surya said – “ What are you waiting for ? Do that first “. After the office boy left , Surya started thinking of ways to bind Medha back to the office.

“ That’s okie !! It’s my work and I have to finish it so would have even waited longer , anyways how are you feeling today ? I am sorry that I had to break the news to you yesterday , but can you answer my questions today ? “ said Uday .
“ Yes Mr.Uday !! You need not be sorry , I am still unable to believe it , I still feel Ruchi is around here somewhere , I will need some more time to really get into the truth part , anyways tell me sir , what would you like to know about her ? “ said Medha.
“I want to know everything that you know about her “ – said Uday .
“Alright Mr.Uday , I will tell you everything I know about her . Ruchi and myself joined at the same time one year back as Assistant Construction Directors and it was on our first day of work when we both met in the lift of our apartment. We were at the same desk for three months so we got to know each other very well . We used to come and go to work at the same time, have lunch together and she was also very helpful at work , we used to share our ideas of project plans , construction plans everything .We even asked the company allocation incharge to move to move us both into the same room , but he said Surya , our M.D did not approve it .
After three months, Ruchi was promoted as the Deputy Construction director and her seat moved into Surya’s room and things changed after that . We were on different time schedules so though we tried to match the timings on and off we had to leave or come alone , our lunch was never planned but even then , we both could get time to share the office things during some part of the day . Even day before yesterday , she came to me in the evening saying she wanted to talk to me about something , but I was so busy that I could not make out time “ Medha was sobbing as she said this “ I never thought that would be the last “.
“Can you tell me how was her relationship with Mr.Surya , your M.D ? “ asked Uday handing over a handkerchief to Medha.
“ Well , Ruchi was very happy moving into Surya’s room , right from the day we joined she always adored him but when she moved into his room , she even more got mad about him , her entire talks with me were about him.” Paused Medha.

“ Well , there is nothing left to hide now , Ruchi told me that Surya and she were in love but they wanted to confine it to themselves because it was a office environment and Surya insisted that he did not want anybody in the office to know about it .But now when the person who said loved her so much does not seem to be bothered even a bit by her death , what ‘s the point in hiding it ? by the way Mr.Uday , can you tell me How Ruchi died ? in an accident ? and by whom ? “ said Medha .
“ Are you sure Ruchi and Surya were in love ? “ asked Uday .
“ I am very much sure, Ruchi told me how he proposed to everything and there was a blush on her face each time and she even told me very soon they would announce about their relationship in the office and would get engaged and what was the need for her to say lies about it ? why are you asking me that way ? said Medha.
“ Medha madam “ hearing the office boy call her , Medha turned back .
“ M.D.Sir wants you to meet him in his room “ said the office boy
“ Okie , will meet him “, said Medha thinking why he called her even though she resigned and banged the door behind him .

Medha quickly moved her hand into her purse for the paper she pushed in and then thought will finish up the things with Surya first and then get back home and then read it . so again she pushed it back and went to Surya’s room .
“ Oh !! So you are back .. well I called you to tell you that if you remember you signed a bond for three years with this company and it was on this condition that the company provided you with the flat and it is also very much written that in any case you or the company break the bond , either has to pay the other a sum of Rs.1,50,000 so Miss.Medha , deposit it over and you are free to leave “ said Surya with a winning tone.
Medha did not know what to do , she remembered that she did sign the bond , she also knew she can’t pay that much amount and that she had no other go but to continue her work for another two years . She said –“ I know you are taking revenge , what more can you do ? when you did not even regret a day for the girl you loved what more can I expect ? Ruchi was a mad girl that she ... “ .
“Can you please stop it and I think I made it very clear in my notice that I did not want to hear her name again “ shouted Surya .
“ Well in that case , i will continue my work and will keep reminding you of your mistake each time I but today you can count me on leave because I am leaving for the day , you may not need time to come out of Ruchi’s death but I needsome time to mourn over my friend for her death and also for loving you “ said Medha .

The news read – “ Miss.Ruchi Agarwal , working as DEPUTY DIRECTOR for High Rise Construction company was found dead hanging to the ceiling of her room yesterday . Beside her body , police found a suicide letter that read – “ Surya is responsible for my death.He loves me and I love him more than my life “ .Surya is the same person who received the YOUTH ICON award for this year and today his reputation is at stake . Only the police can confirm what is true and what is not .
Medha could not understand what went wrong , she could not believe Ruchi would commit suicide , for as much she knew Ruchi , she was never a person who can do a cowardly act , she was the one who always believed she can do what she wanted . All types of thoughts were crossing Medha’s mind . Probably with the type of person Surya is and what she saw today , he might have harassed her to death ? Probably she involved into relationship with him and he is denying it ? no no what I am I thinking , ruchi can never do that and she would definitely tell me if anything was so serious .But she did want to talk to me about something that day ? was it something related to her death ? But even though Surya is a arrogant person ... can he be responsible for her death ? So many questions were going around in Medha’s head that she got mentally exhausted trying to relate everything . She was missing Ruchi already .. She was missing somebody who would call her often even in busy work schedules just to say hi . Medha got up from the couch and decided to go to Ruchi’s room .
She reached the 5th floor and found that the room was still under police control , she saw Uday and went towards him .
“ Mr.Uday , can I go inside Ruchi’s room for some time ? I wanted to see my friend but since that’s no longer possible if you can permit me “ said Medha
“ You can go ahead , but please don’t touch anything inside also I have some of her belongings and as she has nobody if you want I can hand her things over to you ?” said Uday
“Will take them when I am back “ said Medha walking into Ruchi’s room .
Medha went inside, the room was as neat as it is always . On the side table was the coke bottle , Ruchi was a big fan of coke , she always had a coke in her hand , memories of Ruchi were going around in Medha’s mind , she spent some time in the room and as she walked out , she collected Ruchi’s belongings and returned to her room.
Medha opened the bag with Ruchi’s belongings , it had only two things in it , one was Ruchi’s purse and the and the other was her personal dairy . Medha took out the things from the bag , placed them on the side table beside her bed and leaned over the bed , she was tired , tired mentally and physically from the heavy work load of almost five days and more with the happenings of today and the day before.She wanted somebody to cry her heart out , she picked up the phone and called her mother and told her everything that happened at the office , about her talk with Surya and Uday . She said now she had no option left other than going to work at the place she did not want to . Her mother heard all that she said , she consoled her , she told her to just concentrate on her work , for even she knew their financial situation was that they can’t afford to pay the huge amount now . Medha was very much relieved after her talk with her mother . She thought it’s time for her to get going , she can’t be that way for long , she told to herself that she would go to work and do everything possible to make Surya realize what a mistake he did by stopping her back , she decided she would do everything to make Surya remove her from the office by himself. With an intention to divert herself , she took out a book from her shelf and slept reading it .
It was morning again . Medha reached office quite early , she did not want to give any chance to Surya for she knew he would not leave a single oppurtunity to shout at her now .She saw the watchman Ramulu who was very dull today . She asked him - “ Did Vilan send you notice to leave the job ? “ .She was not scared to address Surya that way openly now , she wanted Surya to know about it .
“ Yes Madam “ said Ramulu sadly.
“ Don’t worry , you are very lucky that way , anyways you would get a better job , you have ten days so just relax and don;t worry about the money , ask me whenever you need some , take care of your children “ said Medha as she walked towards the lift . She reached her desk and the first thing she did was to check if Surya was in his room already. As she was leaning and and looking into his room , she heard somebody from behind . With an intention to adjust herself back , she slipped out of the chair and fell down facing the person walking behind and saw Surya right in front of her . Surya was standing there very serious , trying to control his laughter for the way Medha fell . He did not care to help her and just walked away into his room .
Medha got up and more than the fact that she fell down , what was hurting her more was the wat Surya walked away. “ He could have helped me “ thought Medha rubbing her knee .
“ Medha Madam , M.D. sir is calling you “ Medha lifted her head hearing this from the office boy .
She slowly got up and walked towards Surya’s room . She was not able to walk properly , she felt a sprain in her leg but kept limping towards the room .
Surya watched her through the tainted glass door , though he could see her limping , more than her limping , he could not take his eyes off from her face , he kept watching her as she walked in .
“ Yes Sir “ said Medha trying to cover her pain and showing anger .
Surya came to senses hearing her , for a second he thought what waswrong with him and immediately said – “ Well Medha , it’s always good for people to mind their own work rather than showing interest in others , now you might understand it better . anyways I have a small change of position for you . “ Medha was feeling the pain and was not able to stand properly . Surya observed it and as he was saying his lines he walked from his chair and pushed a chair towards Medha for he did not want to ask her to sit by himself .
He continued – “ Since now we need a deputy Construction director and you have a fair good idea of this project as a Assistant Director, I want you to take the responsibilites as Deputy director and I guess you know what it means , you have to move into my room “ .
Hearing this Medha said in a loud voice – “ I don’t want to move to your room , I hate this !!! “ and as she spoke unable to stand she held the corner of the rolling chair for support to stand and moved forward and alas !!! she could not balance and slipped again .
This time Surya helped her from falling and made her sit in the chair . He kept looking at her as she was saying she did not want to take the new responsibilty . Nothing was reaching his ears and all of a sudden with a call from the reception , Surya came out of his thoughts and picked up the receiver .

Medha was all the more angry . Surya told Medha – “ you have no choices in your bond so now just go and from tomorrow I want you to take the new responsibilites, so get prepared “.
Medha got scared by his anger and silently walked out and saw Uday walking in .
She came back and sat in her chair thinking about all that happened . He could have left me to fall again , hmm he hepled me ... . This was the first positive thought about Surya for Medha since she joined .
“What am I thinking , he might have done it because if I get hurt again , she will have no other person to take care of the project , he is never good , see the way he was talking about Ruchi , whatever happens happens for good , if I move into his room , I can get know the reason y Ruchi committed suicide becoz of this person “ told Medha to herself.
She got into her work . She wanted to get prepared with all the project details . She made a call to Maadhav ‘s desk .

“That’s okie , you read the notice yesterday right ? so no talks about it here and now , anyways will talk to you again “ said Ruchi and hanged over the phone.
She got the file but a paper was missing so this time she thought she would go herself and talk to Maadhav.
“ Maadhav, the exact transaction document is missing , where is it ? “
“Medha , I forgot to tell you , Vamsi took it the other day and had not returned me but he is on leave for the next two days atleast” said Maadhav.
“But you said you could send it all to Surya ?” did you not check it then ? “ asked Medha
“Thank god I did not do that , else I would have been out of work now “ said Maadhav.
“Oh okie , all right Maadhav , btw any updates on vamsi ? he might be in contact with you ? does he know about Ruchi ? “
“ No Medha , i did not tell him, you know the reason right , also I did not get time to talk to him longer , he might come to work in two more days “.
“Yeah you are right , let him come and then he can face the truth , it’s better not to inform him on phone “ said Medha and walked away to her desk and saw Uday coming out of Surya’s room .
“What happended to your leg , Medha ?” asked Uday
“ Nothing Sir , I slipped on the stairs , btw any progress in Ruchi’s case ? have you not arrested anybody responsible “ said Medha with Surya in mind.
“ No Medha , as it involves high profile people , we usually need strong proofs before doing anything , so we are still investigating on it ,it might take some time . okie then I will make a move”
“Oh okie sir, I am curious to know about it sorry about interfering , have a good day “
Medha started thinking about Vamsi .Vamsi was in the desk that was diagonal to theirs and it is a known secret to everybody in the office that he loved Ruchi . He was in fact mad about her .Everybody in the office knew about his love for Ruchi in fact even Medha and Ruchi knew about it but Ruchi never really showed any concern or interest in it . Vamsi even proposed Ruchi atleast dozen times but each time Ruchi told him she was not interested in any relationship right now for she wanted to concentrate on her career . Medha knew the exact reason though , she always felt sorry for Vamsi because she thought he was a much better person than Surya but she left it to Ruchi as it was her personal decision. Medha knew vamsi would just break down hearing about Ruchi’s death and also she thought how would he react if he read the newspaper ? did he already look into it or no ? .
“Medha , here you go , this is the rough copy of the financial transactions and the proposed bid document “ said Maadhav keeping them over on her desk .
“ But just now you said , Vamsi had them ? “
“ Yeah but after you left , i thought since I remember the quotes , I can make a rough copy for you for you for your reference , these are the rough values, btw what happened you are limping? “
“Nothing really Maadhav , i just slipped on the stairs but i need the exact values , it’s a construction business and every rupee counts so I don’t want to go by estimates , I will manage if M.D. asks me about it , don’t worry I will not put any of your jobs at stake , I know how to answer him “ said Medha as she thought how how she wanted to reply Surya if asked on it . Maadhav left to his desk and got into his work . Medha was feeling the pain more severly now , she could bearly move her leg ,she did not know it would get so serious . She decided she will stick to her desk the whole day and would see the doctor on her way back.
During lunch, when everybody was out to the caffeteria, Medha did not move from her seat . She managed till the end of the day at work and slowly got up to leave.As she got up she saw surya was still working , she remembered how she used to call Ruchi to know when would Surya leave so that she could move out of office but now she thought she need not even sit for Surya to leave and packed her things and started limping towards the lift.
As she slowly got inside the lift, she saw Surya too walking inside the lift .She thought “ Now I understand the difference between walking and limping”. The lift boy did not close the door for everybody including Medha knew , nobody was supposed to be in the lift with Surya . Medha just did not care , she shouted at the lift boy ... “ Your work is to open and close the door , so just be on your duty “ .Surya for the first time felt it was no point aruging in front of others , so he walked out of the lift and took the staircase. Medha felt sorry for her behaviour with the lift boy . She apolozied him and thought – “ If he is around , the air also gets irritated “.
She walked out of the office , slowly took the cab and reached doctor’s office and from there to her room . She was really tired , the doc advised her to take off for two days , her knee was swollen but she knew she had to go to office the next day , she did not want to apolozise surya or give him a reason to be rude with her .
She finished her dinner and creeped onto the bed , saw Ruchi’s dairy and decided to read it with an intention that she might get to know something .
As she opened , the first page had a picture of ruchi and below it was written – “ Naaku nache naa prapancham , naake sonthaminaa aksharala samoohaaram .It’s my reality “.
Medha started reading it after turning few empty pages - “ Wow !!! Surya is so handsome, I am sure he is gonna be mine , I wonder how do girls work in his office when they just can’t concentrate ... I love him ... he is just soooo hot “

Today is the happiest day of my life!!! Now I can sit seeing Surya the whole day, thanks for him who left the job . from tomorrow I am gonnaaa just love my work more .

Today while working , Surya was staring me all the while as if he wanted to tell me something , I can feel his looks even as I am preparing the documents for our bid to be submitted tomorrow , I am all excited that I can go along with him tomorrow , hopefully tomorrow is my day .

Today as we were walking towards the car, I acted as though I slipped just to catch Surya’s attention and oh I got more than I expected, As I slipped, Surya came and lifted me in his hands and took me to the car and he seemed so much concerned though I said I was fine, he kept asking me all through till we reached the Aurora office to submit the bid.

Today was a real long day at work and a lovely day in Surya’s company . In the afternoon while I was working , he asked me to make some correction in the document and I asked him to be clear as to where to make the changes , he slowly came behind me and leaned over me and after that I just did not understand anything and all of a sudden I felt his touch on my hand and all of a sudden my body was cold . Suddenly Vamsi came in and we had to move apart, I think Vamsi was jealous, I could know it.

Today once again , Surya was staring me and I asked him why he was staring me and slowly he got up from his chair , came very near to me and said I was looking astonishing today except that I needed to make few changes . I could feel his breath and I asked , you can tell me and I am all here for you , Surya came even more close and slowly put his hand on my waist pulled me towards him and slowly moved his other hand over my neck and removed the clip and said – “ Now, you look like mine dear, I love you .... and I am sure you do too “. My happiness knew no bounds, Surya is mine ... it is the day of my life.
Medha closed the book immediately and thought – “Oh god Ruchi was really so mad of him but then if he loved her, why is he reacting that way now? Is it because he was just flirting with her? “Her dairy is only about him, there is no mention of even my name here and he is just so horrible, I am going to show him this dairy and ask him the truth, I will tell him I will show this to the police and that would be the end for him.Medha pushed the dairy into her bag and slept.
It was again morning and Medha could not get up from the bed, she had severe pain but she did not want to miss even a day and today she even wanted answers from Surya, so with great difficulty got up from her bed, took a pain killer and slowly moved along with her regular activities and reached office but could make it just in time. As she got down the cab, for it was not allowed inside her office premises, she saw Surya’s car rush from beside her inside the gate. She tried walking faster but today her leg would not support her.
Surya saw her through the car windows and he thought – there is something interesting about this girl, it is her interest in me that draws me towards her, should be careful with her.
Medha slowly started walking towards the building , though she was thinking if Surya was coming too right behind . Thoughts in her mind just lost their way as she felt – “ Now Surya will come , see me limping and might probably help me through orrrrrrr probably he might even lift me in his hands and and and ..... !!! “ As she was thinking , she saw Surya walk past her , quickly towards the lift talking on his mobile , he got into the lift and just as Medha reached the lift , she heard Surya saying – “ Now just start the lift “ to the lift boy .
Medha felt very bad , she thought I think I got too much involved in Ruchi’s dairy las
dairy last night but then he could have waited for me , even after seeing that I am limping he left , it was situation where she felt more bad for Surya’s behaviour than her thought. As she saw the lift coming down and in it was the office boy with a notice. The office boy immediately handed the notice over to Medha and it read – “ To all the staff , it is to bring to your notice that from the moment this notice reaches you, I want all my staff to come on their duties only with perfect physical and mental fitness , for only then the best of your efforts would be recognised, I also make it clear that it is no compulsion but a sincere request to all that with either of the above two not present , any individual can opt for a leave from work and it would be considered a paid leave. Thanks, Surya,M.D.”
Medha was already in so much pain physically and was feeling so bad mentally that she just could not get through Surya’s intentions and simply got into the lift and got to her seat.All that was crossing her mind was how to put the dairy forward in front of Surya.
Surya saw Medha walk from the lift to the room and he felt very sorry , he wanted to wait for her in the lift but again he wanted the notice to reach Medha first and it was possible only if he could reach before her and sign it over though he got it typed and ready before he reached his floor.He could sense that something was attracting him towards her. As he saw Medha walk into the room , he quickly moved his eyes off her into the file infront of him .
Medha sat in her chair but kept thinking why Surya did not care for her , she started staring at him , she wanted him to look back so that he could know she is angry . Surya knew she was looking at him but he did not want her to know his feelings , he wanted to stay back with his emotions . All of a sudden , something strike Medha ... “what am I doing ? Why should I care whether he waited for me or no ? why am I staring at him ? It’s very wrong on my part . He is a very bad person and he cheated Ruchi ,
how could I forget all that ? Now I should think on what I thought to do .”
Just then there was knock on the door and both Surya and Medha came out of their thoughts and Surya asked Maadhav to come into the room . Maadhav told Surya “ Today by 4:00 we need to submit the bid for the Arca Projects , they have already called thrice , so I told them we are not going to submit any quote from our side for I know the situation in the office “ . Surya did not like the reason Maadhav put forth for not submitting the quote and in a high voice he said – “ Maadhav , I think I had made very clear about certain things in my notice two days back and I am not the one to mix my personal and business issues , so just go and make a call to them immediately that we will submit the quote by 3:30 today and I don’t want Harsha company to get over us and I am sure you don;t want me to repeat it again and again.Now just go and let us work on the quote “ . Maadhav was taken back with the rise of pitch in Surya’s voice and he moved out of the room .
Surya saw towards Medha and said – “ Now, if you can work can we prepare our quote ? “ .Medha who already expected this started working on her computer . It was almost 2 hrs since both Medha and Surya got involved in their works even though now and then Surya was staring at Medha , Medha was completely immersed , she could not understand certain points in the document but she did not want to ask Surya’s help so was thinking of how to proceed further. After another 30 mins , Surya sensed something was wrong that is making Medha take so long in preparing the quote. He slowly came over to Medha’s desk , leaned behind her and started looking into her computer . Medha could feel Surya’s breath on her nec k , she was enjoying him being so close to her , slowly Surya moved his hand to the mouse which was just beside Medha’s hand .Medha thought – He will hold my hand now and the thought itself was making her bold cold and she closed her eyes , she wanted to enjoy the moment of his touch .
“Medha, you can just remove that part of the document and that will really make it easier to prepare the quote , we need not waste our time thinking of correct words to impart that detailing of the construction though we promised them , else everything is perfect !! Medha Medhaaaaa “
Medha came out of her thoughts , she saw Surya looking into her – “ Now you can prepare the quote and hand it over to Maadhav , he will talk care of the rest , got it ? “
Surya was looking into Medha’s eyes and he was lost .Suddenly there was a knock on the door and a voice said – “ Can I come in ? Mr.Surya “
Both Surya and Medha looked at the door , it was Uday . The colours on Surya’s face suddenly changed and he immediately moved away from Medha and said – “ Now go and hand this over to Maadhav or you can go out and sit while Maadhav will come by himself and take it from you “ .
Medha knew that he wanted her to go out his room while he is with Uday and she said as she moved away from him - “ I know how to make a quote and also I understand how some people try to escape from their commitments “ and she walked out the room .
She made a call to Maadhav and asked him to come to her as she could not walk longer .Maadhav came over to Medha and she said – “ Hey Maadhav, here ‘s the quote , please go ahead and submit it over before 3:00 , I am sure this would be our’s , by the way any message from Vamsi ?”
“ Hmm , yeah Medha , he called me and said he is at Chennai on some important personal work , he was asking me the whereabouts of here I haven’t told him anything yet , he said he will be here in two to three days , anyways thanks for the quote , I will straight away go and submit it “ and Maadhav started walking towards the lift . Suddenly his cell phone rang and Medha was startled , she told him – “ It’s the same ring tone as Ruchi’s , she just loved this song .” Maadhav quickly took the phone out of his pocket and switched it off and said – “ Is it so ? I love this song too “ .
Medha quickly moved towards him , grabbed the phone of his hand and said – “ It’s Ruchi’s phone!!
Maadhav quickly pulled it over from her hand and said – “ There are many like this in the market Medha , I bought it just a week back , I think you are thinking a lot about Ruchi’s death , anyways I have to leave “ Maadhav got into the lift and left even before Medha could say anything . Medha immediately ran like wind towards Surya’s room and just pushed it open without even knocking . She heard Surya saying - “How many times should I tell you , I never loved her , I never I never I never , I have seen many girls who are more beautiful than her why do you think so I am responsible just because she wrote so ? what nonsense !!! “ Medha heard all this but she went over to uday and asked him - “Mr.Uday !! You handed over Ruchi’s belongings to me but but she even had a mobile with her ? it is her belonging too where is it ? I did not get any mobile in the bag “
Uday made Medha sit in a chair , handed over a glass of water as she was breathing heavy and said – “ Relax Medha ! Relax , I know we did not get her mobile on the spot but we could trace it and also we have the list of entire call history and message history , we are just waiting on certain other things before confirming the motive for her death ,so just wait for another day and you will know everything even if the culprit won’t accept it by himself “ as he gave a look towards Surya.
Surya understood that the cell phone of Ruchi was discovered and could get a hint of why Uday was shooting him so many questions but he stayed cool and said – “ Well, in that case Mr.Uday can you please come forward with all the evidence and thorough investigation before pointing to somebody with heard and unseen evidence , so if you done for the day , can we face each other tomorrow ? “
Uday with a sigh of happiness that he is reaching the closure of yet another case walked away out of the room. As he left, both Surya and Medha pushed themselves into their chairs . Surya leaned over on the table ahead of him , Medha saw him and thought – “
– “ What is making him so confident even after Uday said he got strong evidence” and the way Uday gave Surya a look crossed her head.Again something told her only a person who is not involved in any false thing can be so confident of himself, Surya though is rough there is something in him that is really very sincere and truthful , I don’t want him to be guilty . But again the next moment she thought – “ Why am I being drawn towards him ? “ .With so many yes and no thoughts , Medha could not just dare to put forward the dairy in front of him and the whole day just went on . Surya slowly got along and when it was time for the end of day , this time Medha waited for Surya to leave first and Surya was waiting for Medha to leave . Finally Medha could no longer sit and she slowly got out the room, into the lift and started walking outside the building to hire the taxi. Surya followed her and as he got into his car he saw Medha limping out of the building , he went to her and said – “ If you have no problem and promise me that you will not argue I will give you a lift till your room “ .Medha who just did not expect it after the morning incident just nodded and as she was walking , Surya slowly moved towards her , took her into his hands and walked towards his car . Ramulu just stood there staring while Medha and Surya could just not see anybody else. Surya made Medha comfortable in the seat beside him and said the driver – “ Go to the address that madam would tell you, can you tell him the way to your building ? “ .Medha came to senses in fact she was shocked by the question – “ Oh So you really don’t know the way ? “ .”Can you please stop it Medha and tell him the way ? I don’t want to feel sorry helping you “ said Surya .
Medha quietly showed the driver the way and got down the car without even caring to turn back and thank Surya walked away into her building .
Surya felt very bad , he thought something is wrong with the two friends , I need to talk to her tomorrow and know what all the puzzles in her questions
the puzzles in her questions are about ? .There Medha too felt bad for her behaviour , she thought – Does he really not know our address ? or is he still acting because his driver was there ? or am I wrong in my thoughts ? whatever I should have atleast thanked him,there is some magic in him that ‘s making me weak , I should just keep away from him and his thoughts.
Medha could not just forget the day, she just could not sleep , Surya was all over her mind in both positive and negative ways . Sometimes she felt he is not good but the next second she contradicted herself , she kept rolling over the bed finally gave up and thought she should do something else that would pull her to sleep . She had decided she would not open Ruchi’s dairy again but could not control herself from doing so , she got up from the bed , pulled the dairy out of the bag , she did not want to continue from where she left so she turned over to the end of the book which was the last day for Ruchi and started reading it .
“Today for the first time , I wanted to talk to Medha about everything that happened , I wanted to tell her the truth , the truth that , just by having thoughts in words underlined underneath , reality can’t be changed , this is the first page of my dairy , which I will start from tomorrow , it’s going to be my dairy of what happened and not of what I believe would happen , my thinking that thoughts into words and words to reality is proved wrong , it should be reality in words and that should give thoughts and dreams , tomorrow will talk to Medha , it is going to be a new day “
Medha for a minute could not really understand but felt something was there that Ruchi wanted to tell her that day , she read it again and again and then turned back to the pages she read last night and now she understood what Ruchi meant , she saw that everywhere there was a closeness between Ruchi and Surya , there was a underline beneath .
Medha could not understand whether she should be happy or sad , happy that Surya and Ruchi were not in love as she thought or sad that Ruchi was making her dreams into reality and was telling her all through , she immediately closed the dairy , she wanted few seconds of peace in mind , she closed her eyes for few minutes and as though she knew what she wanted to do , she immediately got up from the bed , looked at the watch it was 30 minutes past 11 , she took her mobile out of her purse and dailed Surya .
Surya who on the other side could not sleep either with Medha on one side and Ruchi on the other , was feeling that he could not just wait for the morning to talk to Medha , he wanted to talk to her right at that time but did not know how to proceed , he was thinking of plans to start the conversation holding his mobile and all of a sudden his mobile rang and he was surprised seeing Medha’s number , he picked up the phone and said – Hello !!
Minutes passed on with just silence on the phone , Silence was speaking on both ends when Medha finally decided to break it and said – “I wanted to tell Sorry and Thanks , Sorry for blaming you without knowing the truth and Thanks for the lift today “.
Surya – “ Never mind , I wanted to ask you certain things too but jut can’t gather my words , can I know the blame on me ? “
Medha – “ I thought you cheated Ruchi , I am happy to know you did not , I came to know how wrong I was .”
Surya – “ You are the first person who is believing me in Ruchi’s issue , thanks for that , now forget it I want to talk something else with you , if you have time to hear ?”
Medha – “Tell me please , I am ready and I also believe you , I know you are not responsible , i strongly feel it and sense it .”
Surya – “ What ‘s making you believe ? “
Medha had no answer for it she just kept silent while Surya continued – “ Firstly I want to tell you , I don’t know second route to talk what I feel so I somehow feel there is something in you that is drawing me towards you , I never got speechless with anybody , you are first person and I am gonna make you the only person to get that rights of making me speechless , what do you say ?”
Medha though heard and understood what Surya meant , quickly hanged up the phone . She was feeling all joy , a great sense of relief . She slept peacefully after quite many days with pleasant thoughts , she did not allow anybody between Surya and her that night in thoughts.
Surya on the other side too was relaxed that he could tell all that he wanted to , he decided he will get the answer from Medha in the office tomorrow .
It was morning again . .. Medha got up from her bed and thought whether whatever happened last night was true , suddenly a thought crossed her mind – “If Surya is not responsible ... then why is he being made responsible ? why did Ruchi commit suicide? will have to wait for Uday today. or is Surya really involved?if so why ? I should get to office to know my answers . She reached office very early today . As she got into the lift, she saw Surya coming right behind her , the lift boy who remembered Medha’s anger quickly pressed the button and this time Medha looked seriously at him and said – “ Can’t you see he is coming ?” and the next moment he just kept quiet for she knew she was confusing him .
Medha quickly got out of the lift and looked down the stairs ,
Hi, looking for somebody ? Medha quickly turned back and saw Surya .
She quickly moved back and just nodded her head as no . Surya said – “ okie then , I am going into my room , I thought I can work our certain things and expected somebody would come early too so I came early “.
Medha smiled to herself, her heart was just missing beats , her happiness was visible on her face . Medha followed Surya into their room and got into their seats . On Surya’s desk , there was a envelope , he opened it and with a sigh said – “ Did not come early to get this news , we did not get the contract we worked on yesterday , it just seems nothing is going my way these days .” looking towards Medha.
Medha looked towards him and said – “When we believe in what we do and know that we gave our best, then we should not worry.”
Surya said – “guess you are right , anyways I don’t think I want to think more about it because today I came early for a different purpose “ slowly getting up from his chair .
He slowly came near Medha and pulled his chair right in front of hers and kept staring at her . He said – “ You look just great today , I never thought I had a person like you in my office , you are just of my kind . by the way what have you thought about my question last night ? I know you heard the question but I want the answer now “.
Medha did not speak a word , Surya came near Medha , took her hand into his and said – “I somehow feel I know your answer but still before you tell me your answer , I think I should first clear certain things for you.Firstly you are the only girl I am spending more than 5 mins all alone with personally .There is no relation of mine with Ruchi , I knew she loved me but I never had any feelings for her , I agree as professionals we did go around for trips but though she told me her feelings many times I always rejected them politely even on that day when she once again put forward the same topic , I rejected it saying she has to move along in her life but she started crying saying she will end herself and then all of a sudden Maadhav and Vamsi came into the room but even then she continued saying that she can’t live without me , I pushed her away from me and walked out of the room and the next day you know the rest. “
Medha heard everything , she could see the truth in Surya’s eyes as he spoke . Surya continued – “ I don’t know how I am going to prove this to others but all I want is that you believe in what I say, so before you answer my question , I want to put myself honestly in front of you .” as he spoke the last line he removed his hand . Medha quickly grabbed his hand and said – “ I believe in whatever you said but before I answer I want to tell you something too , Ruchi had told me that you both were in love and that you did not want her to tell it to everyone but to confine it till the right time . I thought she was saying the truth till last night and when I knew the truth I called you immediately because I wanted to let you know that I misunderstood you and I am sure just like me , everybody will realize who you are “ .
Medha and Surya were so deeply involved in their confessions that they did not even know that the entire office staff was at work and with a sudden knock on the door , suddenly Medha tried to move away from Surya but Surya stopped her saying – “ Even though I did not get your answer , I think I need not hide from anybody “ and said Come in !!!
Even before he finished his sentence , Uday came inside and in his hand was a mobile . Medha immediately recognised it and said – “ It’s Ruchi ‘s , Surya it’s Ruchi’s”
Uday said – “ Don’t worry Medha , Surya should be able to recognise it very well “ . He quickly turned towards Surya and said – “ Even after asking you so many times , you never told me that the last messages Ruchi sent was to you so I think now you can agree your crime and can you now tell me how it all happened ?”
Medha interruppted saying – “ Probably you don’t know the entire truth Mr.Uday , Surya cannot do such a thing “
Uday said – “ Now I understand , probably it was your turn after Ruchi so in order to impress you so he wanted to get her out of his way.”
Surya who was hearing the all the while said in a high voice – “ Mr.Uday !!! I can prove you right away but I think you should get to the truth before making statements “
Suddenly Maadhav walked in and seeing Uday , he quickly turned back saying – “Sorry , I think I am in at a wrong time , will come back “.
Medha stopped him and said – “ Maadhav , Tell Mr.Uday what happened that day when you and Vamsi came into this room and Ruchi was here “
Maadhav stopped , looked back and with shaking words he said – “ which day ? what happened ? “
Medha said – “ That day when Ruchi was crying ?”
Uday interrupted saying – “ Oh !! I think I misunderstood , probably even you are involved in Ruchi’s death so both of you together made the entire plan ? after all you lived in the same building ?”
Surya said – “ Stop it Uday !! Maadhav , you were there that day then why are you asking that way ? where is Vamsi ? I am sure he won’t be scared to tell the truth “
Maadhav said – “ What truth ? I always saw you and Ruchi moving close to each other in this room , I never saw her crying .”
Medha again got into doubt about her own belief but she did not want to conclude anything this time until she knows the entire truth.
Surya said – “Stop it Maadhav !! what’s wrong with you ? where is Vamsi ?”
Maadhav said – “ There is nothing wrong with me , I am really no table to understand what you are talking about”
Surya said – “Where is Vamsi? This is the third time I am asking you “ in a high voice .
Maadhav said – “Why are you shouting ? I already told Medha , Vamsi went to Vizag .”
Uday said – “ Now Mr.Surya , can you please come with me for further interrogation ?”
Surya gave a look to Medha and said looking towards Uday – “ okie let’s go first because I am sure Vamsi will come to let you know the truth .”
Uday said – “ Follow me and you will get more information about it “
As they were moving out of the room suddenly something striked Medha and she suddenly shouted – “ One Min Mr.Uday , Maadhav , where is Vamsi ?”
Maadhav this time in a high voice shouted back – “ I already told you , he went to Vizag “
Medha said – “ but you said , he went to Chennai ?”
Maadhav said with stumbling words – “ Chennai ? ?? Vizag ??? what difference does that make ? “
Uday who was till then very confident that Surya was involved stopped and started hearing their conversation .
All of a sudden , there was a big sound , the glass window of the room cracked and Surya quickly moved to Medha , pulled her and slept on the floor , Uday too quickly got onto the floor . After about aminute , slowly they got up and Medha quickly moved to the window , saw a motor bike quickly drive back , she was quick enough to note down the number plate and she also saw the person who was driving it . She turned back and saw that Maadhav was lying on the floor , with blood all over . Uday quickly moved to him , check him and said – “ he is shot and is no more “
Everybody was in a shock , Uday who thought he had closed the case now knew he has to get to something else because there was something else only he knew at that point which Medha and Surya were unaware of .
Uday made a call to his station informing about the incident and meanwhile Medha and Surya who were just sitting watching it all through were talking to each other about the possibilities of who did it . Medha said – “ I think there is something more that we are missing her e? I have a feeling Vamsi might be a part of it else the sequence of things that Ruchi died ... Vamsi did not come to office after that and then today Maadhav who along with him know the truth of that day is killed and that means other than Vamsi nobody can tell us what happened that day Surya , might be he could not bear seeing Ruchi that way in front of you so he killed her and is trying to make you responsible ? “
Surya said – “ I know Vamsi , he might not have done it , but then as you said nothing can be predicted about anybody these days .”
Uday who was hearing their talk said – “ Surya , now you follow me for further questions and you Medha you come along becaue I think I need to tell you both something , we found Vamsi ‘s body at the beach in Vizag and we found Ruchi’s phone in Chennai . This is getting more complicated than I thought , I will need your help Medha because you took the number of the vehicle and also saw the person ”
Surya and Medha did not know what to talk , they quietly followed Uday while Surya made a call to his lawyer to get his papers ready , now even he did not understand the possible reason for three deaths .
Everybody reached the police station . Uday immediately took the number from Medha and end it across for further details . Also Medha was asked to describe the sketch of the person and the photo too was made ready .
Now Uday sent it across to all the stations but he could not understand where to begin again , he got reply that the motor bike was a stolen one which was the most obvious and expected answer for him .
All of three just sat there thinking over of possibilities to get to the roots of the mystery .
It was the end of the day and Surya got his bail papers and he and Medha started in Surya’s car .Surya said – “I will drop you and go !!!”
Medha said – “ I will come along with you , I am scared to be alone tonight “
Surya – “ Don’t worry , there is nothing to get scared , but you can come along with me if you have no problem being all alone with me “
All of a sudden Surya’s phone rang . He picked it up and on the other side was Uday .
“Hi Surya , sorry but I want you people to come back , I have something here , probably we can loop in the loose ends ? You can drop and Medha and come if you want to , but I would rather prefere you both because I sense threat in everything now so just to be on safe side “
“Okie Uday , we will be there in 5 to 10 mins , we are just at the road end “
Medha and Surya immediately turned back and reached the station. Uday who was waiting for them said – “ I just got something interesting to tell you guys, I thought I should involve you too now for I think as much as I am in for the real culprit you guys are in to be out of it soon “
Surya and Medha sat in the chair across the table and the eagerness on their face was clearly visible as they were hearing Uday .
Uday continued – “ I got the reports from the forensic labs and there are two things I have that might just lead our way . Firstly , according to Ruchi’s reports , Ruchi died around 1:45 AM on that day but the messages from her mobile were sent at 1:47:20 seconds, so there is a possibility that she did not send those messages at all , also if we think Vamsi first killed Ruchi , sent the messages and then killed himself , that seem not possible because Vamsi’s death seem to have happened around 1:30 and also it is a clear murder . And the second thing is we got a paper from Vamsi’s pocket , though completely soaked in water , two letters are visible on it that say – B.J “
Hearing it Medha quickly said – “B.J . Restaurant , it’s very near to our apartment and we used to go to it very often , but then it may not be the one that you are referring to “
Uday said – “It may not be , but we can definitely throw a stone “ , let’s go there .
“Yeah , we can go there , it’s one restaurant that is open almost till 3 AM.”
All the three got into the Uday’s quails and drove to the restaurant . On reaching they immediately reached the counter . Uday pulled the paper out of his pocket and showed him and asked – “Can you say if this paper is form your restaurant ?”
The restaurant head looked at Uday from top to bottom and said – “ Who are you ? “
Uday showed him his ID proof and repeated the question . This time the person replied – “How can I say Sir ? It’s in such a bad condition , I can’t even recognise it “.
Uday said – “Hmmm ... I can understand but can you please try to remember because it is very important “
The person said – “ I am sorry but I am really not able to recognise it “.
Medha immediately came forward and said – “ do you recognise me ? I come here often with a friend of mine “
The person said – “ Sorry madam , but daily so many come here , I feel everybody’s face familiar “..
Uday immediately got an idea , he moved his hand through his pockets and took out a photograph , it was Maadhav’s snap that was taken that morning and he had kept it in his purse with an intention he might get some hint from it “.
The person said – “As I said , I feel everybody’s face as familiar “.
Uday , Medha and Surya disappointed with it, turned back and Uday handed over his card and number saying to call him if at all he gets any idea .
As they were walking back , the restaurant head came running from behind and said – “ I think I remember when I saw that person, that day he was here with two other men and a women , after sometime the lady left and then the three had an argument over something very severly , we had to cool them down and then they all left in the car of one person leaving the other car here as it was punctured.
Uday was very happy , he asked the person to follow him to the station . They all got to the tation and on reaching , Uday was quick enough to show the snaps of Vamsi and Ruchi , the person immediately recognised them . Now one thing was clear in front of them and that was that Vamsi , Maadhav and Ruchi were together that night and after that Vamsi and Ruchi died and according to the reports they have and then it is also clear that Vamsi and Maadhav had an argument from what the restaurant head said . Now the question were – “ Who is the third person ? If Maadhav is behind the death of Ruchi and Vamsi , why ? and who is the fourth person in the restaurant that day ?
Suddenly Uday’s phone rang and he picked it up.
“Yes Shekhar , tell me “
“Sir , I have something informative , the person whose sketch you sent me has been recognised , he is Bharghav , presently he is on bail in a case .”
“Can you tell me anything more about him ?” said Uday .
“There is one thing that might be of utmost importance in your case and that is that , Bharghav is the right hand of Mr.Harshavardhan , the owner of Harsha Constructions and most importantly the invisible enemy of Mr.Surya “
“That ‘s a excellent piece of information Shekhar, I want that person in front of me in an hour , can you do it ? “ asked Uday showing a thumbs up symbol to Medha and Surya sitting in front of him .
“Will do it , that is what we are for , trace , track and tackle , I am on it from this moment “ with this Shekar hanged up the phone.
“Surya and Medha , we have the person of the morning , hopefully he should be a part of it , let’s confirm “ saying it Uday took out the sketch of the morning and showed it to the restaurant owner who quickly said – “ he is the other guy , I am 100 percent sure “
“ Thanks a lot , now you can go “ said Uday to him and then turning towards Surya and Medha – “ Now we have to know what exactly happened so we got everything yet nothing at present , we have to wait for a real long one hour “.
Time was just going too slow for them, Medha leaned onto Surya’s shoulder , she was too tired to even think of anything .
Shekhar came running inside and with him was the person he promised to get along . Uday quickly pulled him , made him sit in the chair in front of him and staring him said – “ So , now you have to tell me everything by yourself, no questions from my side “
Bharghav gave a look back and said – “ I don’t know anything and I guess you know I will out of here just in 5 minutes”.
“No Bharghav , it’s not that easy this time, I have already told everybody in my station to not to lift any calls and I know how to get the truth from you , now you come along with me and you both wait here while I am back with the case closing file .”
Medha and Surya were not done with their waiting for the next 30 minutes . As they saw Uday coming out , they quickly ran towards him . Uday quietly walked to his chair and signalled them to sit in front of him and he continued – “ Now , you both have to have a daring heart to hear everything and above all , I don’t want anybody to blame themselves . So here it goes – “
Surya one thing you were not aware of was that Maadhav was sending all your quotes to the Harsha company and they were paying him for it , he was showing you false numbers and quotes and Vamsi warned him about it more than once and even on that day he warned him about it in the evening in the office .
Maadhav informed about it all to Bharghav and asked him to give him a warning . So Maadhav called Vamsi from anonymous number at around 01:30 in the night and asked him to meet him. Vamsi who was with Ruchi at that time at B.J. Restaurant told Maadhav to come there for he did not know Bharghav would be along too . So both Maadhav and Bharghav reached there .
Now there Vamsi was with Ruchi because she was upset in the morning and he has asked her to meet him and this he told Maadhav and Bharghav who was along heard it too . On seeing that bharghav was along with Maadhav , Vamsi asked Ruchi to leave and Ruchi left to her room . After that , Vamsi , Maadhav and Bharghav got into conversation and it slowly lead to the quotes issue.Vamsi raised his voice saying he will tell everything to you and then that lead to the argument that the restaurant head was talking about , after that both Maadhav and Bharghav got into Vamsi ‘s car saying their cat tyre was punctured and after going half the way , Bharghav could not control his anger about the fact that Vamsi raised his voice on him , stabbed him from behind and Vamsi died on the spot . Maadhav who saw this was shocked , he thought of a plan that they would throw his body in the sea but then they remembered that it would be easy for police to trace
trace them down because Ruchi had seen them so in Vamsi’s car they reached your apartment , forced Ruchi to hang herself and then they thought over to involve you in it so sent messages from her mobile then took her mobile and on the way to discard Vamsi’s body , with an intention that the sim should be unavailable they threw it on the tracks . They thought , Once Vamsi and Ruchi’s death will be disclosed as Ruchi committed suicide because of Surya and Vamsi tried to blackmail Surya with the morning incident so Surya killed him too but what Maadhav did not know was Bharghav did not want to leave any traces behind and that brought him his death. But they underestimated Police and that ‘s what got them into troubles but here even we were lucky that the sim was safe as it is said , god will never let truth die “
Surya for the first time had tears in his eyes , he could not control himself , he was sobbing as he said Medha – “ I am responsible for their deaths , I never knew Construction business is so dangerous , I killed three people , all this is for a upper hand ? Oh god what have I done , I can never forgive myself “.
After five years ,
“Ruchi Darling , i love you and you it right ?”
“Yeah I know it dad , when are you coming back ?”
“I will be there before tomorrow morning , you anyways have so many there , Ruchi’s aunty’s mom , your mom , my mom why do you need me ?”
“Because I LOVE YOU AND I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT YOU “
“Now stop all this and give the phone to your mom “ Surya did not forget these lines yet,Medha and Surya named their daughter Ruchi .
That night , when Medha went to Ruchi’s room , she saw her writing something .
“What are you writing darling ?” asked Medha.

“You know mama , today I was told that by writing what you want and underlining the things you dream of you can get them “
Medha understood who told her and quickly closed the book , took Ruchi in her lap and said – “
